- Pipe temp range -40°F to 180°F / -40°C to 82°C
- Markers meet ASME (ANSI) A13.1-2007 standard when used with Arrows-On-A-Roll Tape (sold separately)
- Choose from 5 sizes:
- 8SM fits pipes 3/4" Thru 1-3/8" Dia. (19mm thru 35mm)
- Marker size is 2-1/4" x 8" with 8"L colour field and 1/2" letters
- 8LG fits pipes 1-1/2" Thru 2-3/8" Dia. (38mm thru 60mm)
- Marker size is 2-1/4" x 8" with 8"L colour field and 3/4" letters
- 12 fits pipes 2-1/2" Thru 7-78" Dia. (63mm thru 200mm)
- Marker size is 2-1/4" x 12" with 12"L colour field and 1-1/4" letters
- 24 fits pipes 8" Thru 10" Dia. (203mm thru 254mm)
- Marker size is 8" x 24" with 24"L colour field and 2-1/2" letters
- 32 fits pipes Over 10" Dia. (254mm and over)
- Marker size is 4-1/2" x 32" with 32"L colour field and 3-1/2" letters

ANSI Pipe Labeling: Must-Do’s for Pipe Labeling Standards
Color code for quick recognition
Assign specific colors to different pipe contents, such as hazardous materials, fire protection systems or potable water. Consistent color coding simplifies identification and reduces the risk of accidents. Here’s the color-coding system recommended under ASME/ANSI A13.1

Match length and letter height to pipe diameter
Ensure that your pipe markers are appropriately sized for optimal visibility. Follow these guidelines by pipe size.

Place markers in key, high-visibility areas
Position pipe labels on pipes to achieve the best visibility. Install pipe labels below or above the horizontal centerline of the pipe when pipes are located above or below the normal line of vision, respectively. Consider placing pipe markers both near the ceiling and near the floor of your facility. In addition, mark pipes:
- Adjacent to all valves and flanges
- At both sides of floor or wall penetrations
- Adjacent to changes in directions
- At least every 50 feet on straight runs
